Akielly Hu is a former news and politics fellow at Grist and was associate editor at The Environmental Forum, ELI’s policy magazine for the environmental profession, and at ELR—The Environmental Law Reporter, ELI’s flagship publication, from 2021-2023, working on topics including food waste reduction, local climate action planning, compensatory mitigation for wetlands, and environmental public interest litigation in China. Akielly holds a B.A. in Global Affairs from Yale University.
