I’m a British journalist from London, now based in Kyiv. My stories have been published and broadcast by over 20 major media organisations including WIRED, The Guardian, and BBC Radio 4. Several have been translated into other languages, including German, Italian, and Japanese. I’ve also discussed them on national radio.

I trained as a multimedia journalist at News Associates, London, and graduated with the top grade in 2021. The Royal Geographical Society made me a fellow the following year after I walked 450km unsupported across southern Iraq. My work has since taken me across Europe (and the rest of Iraq). I’ve trained to work in hostile environments (HEFAT).

Beside my reporting, I’ve mentored for international fellowships and delivered lectures about foreign and freelance journalism.
