I am a Colorado-based writer and editor specializing in outdoor adventure journalism.
Through my work, I aim to elevate the stories of everyday people, inspire a new generation of adventurers, and spark an interest in climate and conservation.
I’ve always been a muddy-around-the-knees kind of kid. I grew up in north Georgia, ankle-deep in creeks, catching frogs. In college at the University of North Carolina, I finished out my environmental science degree studying salamanders at a remote field site in the western Appalachians.
I’ve been able to translate that deep environmental knowledge and love of adventure to my work as a contributing editor at REI Adventure Projects, associate editor at Backpacker, news editor at Outdoors, and business editor at the Outside Business Journal.
